The Seattle Seahawks traveled to Minnesota on Sunday, only to be blown out by Brett Favre and the Vikings, 35-9.
Favre threw four touchdown passes before being pulled for Tavaris Jackson in the fourth quarter, as the Seattle defense had no answer for the number of weapons that Minnesota can throw out on the field each week.
Seahawks QB Matt Hasselbeck had a mediocre day, finishing 19 of 26 for 231 yards and an interception in the last minute. He found WR Nate Burleson a good amount, hitting him six times for 100 yards, but WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh, the Seahawks’ prize free agent, only caught four balls for 36 yards.
“It was a tough day,” Hasselbeck said. “When they put Tarvaris Jackson in in the fourth quarter, it’s almost embarrassing to be down by that much, when they’re pulling their guys. It’s just hard being in this situation right now. We’re not used to it.”
The Seahawks can point towards their running game as the reason for their downfall. They rushed for a franchise-low four yards on 13 carries, as normal starter Julius Jones missed the game with a bruised lung.
“We tried to stick with it, but there was a point where we were beating our head against a wall,” Mora said.
Justin Forsett, the backup RB who ran for 123 yards on 17 carries against Arizona a week ago, only tallied nine yards and a TD on Sunday. He did manage eight catches for 80 yards, but the Seahawks managed to cross midfield for the first time late in the third quarter, after already being down 28-0.
“I saw Brett after the game and said, ‘Would you retire, please,’ ” Mora said. “He said ‘You’ve been saying that to me for about eight years,’ and I said, ‘I know, and I’m going to keep saying it to you.’ The guy is remarkable, but we’ve still got to be better.”

The Seattle Seahawks jumped out to a 14-0 lead over the Arizona Cardinals only to fall in the end, 32-20.
Quarterback Matt Hasselback passed for over 300 yards and a touchdown but also threw two interceptions.
Wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzedah was a frequent target, as he had 163 yards receiving despite not finding the end zone
Running back Justin Forsett saw most of the action in the backfield and made the most of it, racking up a 100-yard rushing game and a touchdown.
The loss is a damaging one as it severely hurts Seattle’s chances to make a run at the NFC West title.

The Seattle Seahawks hung around early but were eventually left in the dust in a 38-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
Quarterback Matt Hasselback had a solid day, passing for 249 yards and two touchdowns. Unfortunately, he had very little help around him.
The offensive line continues to struggle without Walter Jones, and it seems like it’s only a matter of time until Hasselback suffers another serious injury.
The defense put in a poor performance as well. Some of the tackling from the Seahawks was absolutely shameful.
The one bit of good news is that the Seahawks can get back on track next week with a home game against the Detroit Lions.
