Tate steals maple bars

There are weird stories, and then there is Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Golden Tate’s night out on the town.

It ended at 3 a.m. when a drunken Tate stumbled into a donut shop and proceeded to steal maple bars.

He took keys to the place and donuts and ran off with a friend before later returning to the scene.

Police gave Tate a trespass warning, which could probably be considered getting off easy.

It’s interesting that Tate was involved in something like this because he was so vocal about his maturity and how there would be no worries that he would cause any problems off the field.

Seahawks release White

The Seattle Seahawks have abruptly released running back LenDale White.

The team said it was obvious that White was not ready to play for the team but they wish him well in the future.

White is said to be stunned by the news and upset about now being forced to look for a new team.

There is speculation that White failed a drug test and could be facing a four-game suspension.

The running back worked hard to lose a significant amount of weight and was reunited with college head coach Pete Carroll.
